#1. Download
- Go to wisprflow.ai and download the app for Mac, Windows or iPhone.
- Create a free account. The free plan includes 2,000 words per week.
#2. Give permissions
- Allow microphone access.
- Mac: allow Accessibility so Flow can type into other apps (System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility).
- Pick your language. It understands over a hundred languages.
#3. Your first dictation

- Click into any text box: Gmail, Slack, ChatGPT, Notes, your code editor.

#4. Tips from my daily use
- Ramble freely. Say um, change your mind mid sentence. Flow cleans it up.
- Use it for prompts. I talk my ideas straight into Codex and Claude.
- Switch languages whenever you like, for example German and English.
- Say punctuation or new lines if you want exact control.
